FRONT RANGE CHORAL ALLIANCE
Minutes of the Quarterly Meeting
May 7, 2022
Shepardson Hall East, First Presbyterian Church

The quarterly meeting of the Front Range Choral Alliance was held on May 7, 2022. The meeting was coordinated by Wendy White. Also in attendance were Larry Fenske and Heather Smith (Larimer Chorale), Chet Moore (Silvertones), Stephen Lundeen (Laudamus), Amy Resseguie (Rocky Mountain Chamber Singers), Michael Stadler (Greeley Chorale), Julie Hale (Boulder Chorale) and Kathy Illick (Loveland Choral Society).
We began by going around the room with each group reporting on their spring concerts. Most groups have removed mask requirements but require that all singers be vaccinated. Larimer Chorale is doing their last concerts in early June, but all the other groups reported good crowds although somewhat smaller choruses in some cases. The one exception to the mask requirement is the Silvertones. They are still singing masked and are limited to 50 singers on stage at Griffin Hall. Amy with RMCS reported that their concerts were the last with Ann Bunyan as Artistic Director. They have found a new director, David Dunbar.
We then talked about next season. Most groups are planning a full season but are still in the planning stages. Other ongoing discussions center around whether or not to continue the vaccine requirement for singers. All groups except Loveland Choral Society have cancelled any overseas trips for this year. LCS is still planning on going to Ireland and Scotland in July.
Our next topic was cross-marketing. We all agreed that an ad with all of our groups’ names, websites, and contact information would be a good tool for us all. Heather offered to collect the information from each of us via her email: larimerchorale.fortcollins@gmail.com.
Our next meeting will be Saturday, August 6th at Shephardson Hall. The topic will be the upcoming season and plans.
